Telescoping Stamped Panel Card Technique

The name sounds a bit strange, but I wasn't sure what else to call this :). On this card, all the stamping is done at once, and it's super simple and fast, even though it might not look that way.

The background card is a white, A2 card (8.5" x 5.5", folded in half)

Then we will need some black and white cardstock cut so that each white panel can be matted on a black background panel. So I cut mine like this:

Black - 4" x 5 1/4"

White - 3  3/4" x 5"

Black - 3" x 4"

White - 2  3/4" x 3 7/8"

Black - 2" x 3"

White - 1  7/8" x 2  7/8"

Easy Embossed Zebra Stripes

I was experimenting with trying to come up with whimsical zebra stripes and happened upon this idea to make different widths of striped on my paper. I made this pattern with rubber bands and silver embossing powder.

I had seen someone make a pattern on their paper that was very different than this one, but their use of rubber bands gave me a new idea. I just wrapped rubber bands around an old ink bottle I had. It is smallish, maybe 1.5" around, but I'm thinking that other sized bottles would also work well. If you have an ink brayer, it might be easier because you would have a handle to keep your fingers out of the ink. Thanks for stopping by!

Create Faux Mulberry Paper From Tissue Paper

This is a simple and fun technique to cheaply add some texture to your scrapbook pages, tags, and cardmaking projects. I always save gift bags and also the tissue paper if it isn't ripped up, and this is the cheap stuff from the Dollar Tree. I used Inkadinkado's Gem Stone Insect Stamps for the butterfly, Red Dragon Embossing Powder,  a sentiment stamp, Thinking of You, and 3 black mini brads.

Confetti Border Handmade Card

How about a totally different look for your cards and scrapbook pages? I used a bunch of scraps and punched lots of circles to make my own confetti. You could use an office punch or smaller circle punches too, to get the same type of confetti I made. But don't stop there! Think of all the little punches you have, and even the negative spaces from die cuts, and all of those make great confetti too! I used a tombow adhesive runner to attach my confetti, but scor-tape works perfectly too.
