Box Pleat Border Card

I love the idea of having a different kind of border other than a punched or lace border on my cards. I saw a tutorial on making the box pleats, but it was kind of hard to understand with just the pictures and a written explanation, so I hope a video might help you now that I got it figured out :).

This would make an excellent border for scrapbook pages too, you could just tuck the next length of paper underneath to continue on with your design.

The box pleat scrapbook paper is cut at 1.5" wide x 9"  long. This is enough to go across the width an A4 card (4.25"). I added a doily, tag, bow and lace to finish off this card. Hope you enjoy this project!

Accordion Pocket Mini Scrapbook Album

   

This cute little Accordion Pocket Mini Album is super simple, with the accordion part inside made from 2 business sized envelopes....or if you're especially crafty, you could make your own envelopes in coordinating colors :). You can't get any simpler and faster and this is great for just a stand-alone album or added to a scrapbook page as an interactive element. I made a closure for mine with Velcro and added a simple decoration to the outside with lace, labels (I used Spellbinders Label 6) and a flower. Add some little mats with pictures and so on for the pockets, and you're finished!

Cricut You're My Anchor Man's Card

This is a fun and easy Cricut card, but you could easily substitute letter stickers and Google an anchor, print and cut it out for his card. I also used some twine, a white card, a patriotic striped paper and some blue cardstock. I used a permanent glue stick and hot glue to put the card together. Antique Car Handmade Father's Day Card

I know lots of dads love antique cars, and to be honest, I do too! It's hard for me to think of ideas for guy's cards, but usually an antique car, tractor, or something of the sort will make a very nice card for a guy. I found this 1956 Mercury online, and you can go to my website to grab the image for yourself: Antique Car Handmade Father's Day Card.

I used a pearl paper for the card, black eyelet ribbon, and to cut the nice shape around the car image, I used the Spellbinder's Nestabilities Labels #6, the largest one. I also chalked around the edges of the car die cut with black chalk, although ink would also work well. I hope this card idea is useful to you. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You Vellum Flowers Card

I like the look of embellishments that are somewhat translucent. This swirly paper from DCWV Luxury Stack is so beautiful on it's own, that I didn't want the whole front of the card covered with another paper, so I chose to emboss some flowers onto vellum and then place them on the card. To make my flowers, I used clear embossing ink and silver embossing powder. The other supplies I used were scissors, small zots, adhesive gems, silver  Thank You stickers, and two flower stamps, Open Almond Petals and Flower Within A Flower. Quick, simple, elegant.
