How To Make a Tassel & Graduation Cap Card

It's that time of year when there are graduations galore! Instead of getting a generic card for the grad, how about making one that matches their school colors?

It's super simple to make a tassel, and I'll show you just how easy and fast it is.

Other than that, you only need a 5 x 5 card, a 4 x 4 square in the school color(s) (if there are several colors,  you can make a few squares, each slightly smaller), and a smaller piece of black paper to mat to the 4 x 4 square. I also made a little tag with the Graduation Congratulations, and used 3 silver mini brads to embellish it. 2 were for the tag, and one attaches the tassel to the mortar board. Double Pocket Fold Card

  

This is such a fun and easy card to make! It's made of just one sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper, and double-sided paper works great because you will have complimentary colors on your card. You can put gift cards, pictures, book marks or any other little things in the pockets. It's a little treasure card :)

I used Echo Park's Mother Nature paper, then put a small stamped card and a bookmark in my card pockets. For the front, I just put a bow & a paper flower. This is a quick and easy card -- hope you enjoy it!

Wedding or Special Occasion Handmade Card

       

I made this multi-layered card for a wedding. It was brown, beige, then 2 layers of pearl paper. I printed the verse for the inside of the card right onto my cardstock with my inkjet printer.

The butterfly was from the Cricut Picturesque cartridge, and I cut both the brown & cream layer at 1.5". The cream top layer of the butterfly was sprayed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist, and I put ribbon corners on the front top layer and the inside verse layer and then added white adhesive pearls on each corner & the center of the butterfly. Simple Double Bow Tutorial

I love the look of double bows! I had been wanting to make these, but it took me a while to find a way to make them easily and without a special gadget or having to sew and glue. This way of making them is so simple and requires only a 20" ribbon and your very own fingers :).

I think it would be difficult to write out the instructions, so hopefully watching the video below will make it simple enough to follow so you can make your own. After you make a few of these, it takes just 10-20 seconds to make them! Enjoy :).
