This is the first iris folded pattern that I made. I was just an experiment, or I would have used a more complimentary paper to cut the pattern out. Here is the front when the pattern was completed.
It's hard to tell, but the pattern is completely backwards while you are working on it, then when you are finished and turn it over, it looks just perfect. That wasn't so bad for a first project, eh? Usually when I start something new, it doesn't turn out quite right the first couple of times. If you want to give iris folding a try, you can get this pattern here: http://www.irisfolding.circleofcrafters.com/shoepattern.html
They also have instructions on how to do iris folding. Circle of Crafters is a really neat site with lots of free patterns for all sorts of paper crafts. Happy crafting!
